The male redhead is handsome bird with a rich red-colored head and bright yellow eyes. This is one of the Oregon Zoo’s captive birds. In the wild, redheads are usually seen in eastern Oregon around freshwater lakes and wetlands, but they can be seen along the coast in winter.
